+ What are microblading and microshading?

Digital Microblading

, also known by a variety of names such as nano brows or machine made brows is a form of semi-permanent makeup that provides a means to partially or fully camouflage missing eyebrow hair with the appearance of simulated hair. Using fine tattoo needles deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigments in fine hair like 'strokes' that mimic the natural hair pattern. Microshading, also done with a machine, fills the space between the hair strokes with pigment. This creates flattering shadows and contouring of the brow. The use of both techiques is commonly referred to as a “combo brow”. Powder Brows use the microshading only. All techniques implant the pigment in the deeper epidermis layer, which is less painful and less permanent than body tattooing, where pigment is implanted in the deeper dermal layers of the skin

+ How long will it last?

Ideally 12-18 months. The longevity of your service will depend on factors such as: good aftercare while healing, having a touch up in the desired time frame of 4-6 weeks after the initial session, if you engage in frequent heavy sweaty workouts, sun exposure and the use of products on the skin such as retinols or other exfoliants. Oily skin types may shed pigment faster. Daily SPF is strongly recommend to prolong the life of your pigment.

+ Does it hurt?

There is some mild discomfort, but it is tolerable. I do use topical anesthetic (Lidocaine) for numbing before the procedure and again during the service for your comfort.

+ Are there any counter indicated conditions?

Pregnancy, auto immune diseases and who are susceptible to infections should not have this service. Please see the medical questionnaire under the Discover tab for a for list.

+ Can I have microblading/microshading over old PMU?

Maybe. If the old tattoo has faded enough and the shape is workable, there is a possibility that it will be successful. Please contact me so we can determine if you are a good candidate.

+ How long does the treatment take?

A session lasts 2.0-2.5 hours

+ Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes. Please contact me via call, text or email to request your gift certificate.

+ What is your cancellation policy?

Please give 48 hours for cancellations. You will recieve a text and email confirmation of your appointment 48 hours out from your session. Please cancel or rescheule at that time if it is needed.

+ Why choose a Phi artist? What makes you unique?

Simply because we are the best! To become a certified Phi Artist you must pass a rigorous 11 level course under the tutelage of a Phi Master. I personally studied under the Master Lesile Ritchie for both my Phi Brow Microblading and Phi Perfection Shading certificates. I also have been trained at the Aveda Institute for Esthiology and have been a licensed esthetician for over 20 years. Having my own PhiBrow transformation changed my life!
